Eastwood District Rugby Union Football Club is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with RYGG, becoming the first rugby club in New South Wales to collaborate with the pioneering performance and recovery brand founded by renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr Steve Andrews.

RYGG’s competitive edge lies in its unique fusion of innovation, athlete driven insights, and medical expertise, a powerful combination that has quickly earned the brand a reputation for trusted, effective, science backed sport creams. 

“Eastwood Rugby has always strived to lead, both in how we play and how we care for our players,” said Anthony Griffin, Director of Rugby. “Partnering with RYGG reflects that ethos. Their products are driven by research, designed by experts, and built with athletes in mind. We’re pleased to be the first NSW club to welcome them on board.”

Dr. Andrews embarked on a journey to enhance athletic performance and recovery, prioritizing safety and efficacy. In 2022, Rygg was founded with a vision to establish a brand known for excellence, rooted in scientific research. Dr. Andrews’ knowledge has informed valuable feedback on product prototypes, scientific research, clinical trials, and regulatory requirements. Dr Andrews has empowered Rygg to develop superior products, precisely tailored to athletes’ needs.

“As a surgeon, I’ve seen first-hand the consequences of poor recovery and preventable injuries,” said Dr Andrews. “RYGG was born from a desire to change that. We build products based on evidence, clinical research, and the real needs of athletes.”

RYGG’s range is developed in Australia and meets stringent global standards, including Informed Sport Certification and both products are listed with the ARTG. 

 Informed Sport is the world’s leading testing and certification program for brands producing sports and nutritional supplements. Designed for elite sport, it protects athletes from inadvertent doping caused by supplements contaminated with banned substances. As such, it is recognised by sporting and governing bodies, anti-doping bodies and nutrition industry organisations, and the armed and special forces.

This partnership will see RYGG’s performance and recovery tools integrated into Eastwood’s training and match day environment, supporting player readiness, injury prevention, and long-term health.

Eastwood Rugby players will also be gifted a personal recovery kit featuring Heate and Khule valued at $100. Heate improves muscle performance and endurance and stamina, while KHULE assists with post exercise recovery and relieves mild joint inflammation. Designed for everyday use, these products are simple tools to support recovery wherever it is needed.
